Carried down from the Southern Alps by the sacred Arahura River, this form of Pounamu is prized for its dark, glassy green depths - translucent like still forest waters and rich with wairua. Arahura Pounamu is a stone of deep strength, sacred reflection, and ancestral connection.

In Māori tradition, Arahura is the whenua tapu (sacred land) from which many of the most treasured greenstones were gifted. This particular stone embodies calm authority and spiritual clarity, like the cool shadowed pools it resembles.
