Flat Lap Backing Plate

This is a flat lap backing plate, meant to go with our multi-function grinder unit, but can be used with any machine that has a threaded shaft. The plate is solid aluminium, 10mm thick and comes in either 6 inch (150mm) or 8 inch (200mm) with a choice of either 20mm hole (to fit our grinder unit) or half inch (12.7mm) hole to fit most standard lapidary machines.

When using flat lap disks, you need a solid backing plate so they don't flex and this backing plate is made for the job.
